This is from a card a classmate gave me during Chinese New Year. He's not Chinese blood, not fully, but his family follows the customs so, he gave me and a few others in class these red cards with the chinese character for love on them. When I opened mine, it said this:

"Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."

He told me it's supposed to be my future or something. If anyone out there's Chinese and knows what the hell this meant, please tell me? Hehehe, Emski, do you by chance have any idea?
