MIDTERMS

Almost over. Still have one exam to go, but that subject isn’t as difficult as the ones that we already had exams with. The Pharmacology exam was soooo hard, get this, even our C.I. for NCM who’s a registered nurse got a migraine trying to answer it. The NCM test wasn’t quite as difficult although I heard that only one person passed in section F. I think 9 passed in our class and Sir Boni said I was one of the nine so I feel kinda relieved...

NEW ORLEANS

Watching CNN depresses and infuriates me. I feel sympathy for the victims of the storm, but dang it’s not like it’s the end of the world. Katrina itself didn’t really take that many lives, why couldn’t the people of New Orleans get off their butts and start rebuilding? Quit waiting for the government to do something for them, and do something for themselves.

They lack discipline. Looting and stealing I can understand to some degree coz these people lost property, but rape?! And suicide!? What the hell?! Ang hihina ng loob nila! It frustrates me to think that they’re accepting help from countries like us, the so-called Third World countries, when they have billions of funds being wasted for Iraq.

MOVIES

Watched “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “Skeleton Key”. Liked the Sisterhood better; or at least appreciated it more. Felt like crying in some parts but stopped myself, dunno why; it wasn’t like anyone could see me bawling if I did.

Finally bought my copy of “Ever After” ^_^ I just love that story. And borrowed DVDs of LotR Trilogy so I’ve been movie marathon-ing for the past two days. Must be the reason why I’m having a bit of a migraine right now ^^0

BOOKS

Finally got to add to the inventory the books Kuya Jojo lent/gave me. Mostly books about Nursing, but there are a few novels, mostly religious ones though. I particularly like the one about Purgatory and the Latin Grammar book. Am trying to study the Latin book when I have spare time coz I wanna learn how to read that language even if I can’t speak it. It isn’t as hard as it seems to be at first. There are a lot of rules though, but it’s nice ^^

Bought Anne McCaffrey’s “Dragon Song” for 50% less than the original price at NBS. It’s rare to find a Book 1 of any of her series especially from the local NBS branch so I’m rather glad I found it. Am thinking about buying that 800+php copy of the Chronicles of Narnia, but am having second thoughts. Seems like a good buy considering all the books are there and it’s unabridged. Maybe next week... maybe.

REPLIES

Fattbizzle: Umn, thanks ^_^ Which story are you referring to btw?
